The Grove Learning Pod is a unique learning environment based in Witkoppen, Johannesburg, South Africa, that offers a calm and safe space for teenagers to structure their online schooling days. With 26 years of experience as a teacher in life orientation, the tutor provides life skills coaching to help teenagers reach their full potential in a supportive and social environment.
The learning pod provides a range of services, including one-on-one support in the CambriLearn online curriculum, structured learning and goal-setting, and mentoring to develop self-directed discipline. The tutor also offers support with assignments, tests, and exam preparation, as well as guidance in finding resources to answer curriculum questions. Teenagers can join the pod for social interaction and support, while maintaining their online schooling schedule.
The Grove Learning Pod is open on weekdays, with specific hours of operation from 08:00 to 12:30 on Fridays. The facility features an open plan working space, free Wi-Fi, and a garden area where teens can relax and manage their stress. The pod also has a patio with kitchen supplies, a pool, and other amenities to promote social interaction and self-care. Teenagers can join the pod for medium-sized group sessions, one-on-one coaching, or as an individual, depending on their needs and goals.
