No. CambriLearn's IEB pathway starts in Grade 10. Up to Grade 9, your child can follow CAPS with us, then move onto the IEB pathway in Grade 10 with a Grade 9 aggregate of at least 70%.

Yes. The IEB examines the same CAPS content, so the change is in the style of the papers, which test application and reasoning. The start of Grade 10 is the simplest time to move. Moving in Grade 11 takes planning, and we advise against moving in Grade 12, the year of the final NSC examinations. A consultant can help you plan the timing.

No. The IEB FET Phase follows a structured academic year with set terms, scheduled assessments and fixed deadlines. The IEB requires the structure, and it keeps learners on track.

Changes are easiest early in Grade 10, before School-Based Assessment marks build up in the subject. Later changes mean catching up on missed work and assessments, so contact the admissions team as soon as a subject isn't working.
