What does no lab practicals actually mean?
Pearson Edexcel assesses practical science skills through written papers rather than laboratory coursework. Students answer questions on experimental method, design and data, so no school laboratory and no practical endorsement are needed.
Will universities accept sciences without lab practicals?
Yes. Pearson Edexcel International GCSEs and A Levels are fully recognised qualifications, accepted by UK universities and institutions in more than 120 countries, and they carry the same UCAS tariff as any other A Level.
What is the difference between Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge?
Both are British examination boards with equal recognition. Pearson Edexcel sciences use written papers only and its International A Levels are modular, while Cambridge examinations are linear. How do modular exams work?
International A Levels are divided into units written in January and June sittings. Your child can spread units across sessions to reduce pressure, and an individual unit can be retaken to improve a grade without repeating the full qualification.
Where does my child write exams?
Students write as private candidates at authorised Pearson Edexcel examination centres, available in the UK, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and beyond. CambriLearn helps every family locate their nearest centre.
What is the difference between Standard and Premium?
Standard includes on-demand video lessons, assessments and marking. Premium adds weekly live lessons with specialist science teachers, small-group Q&A sessions and direct teacher chat. Packages are chosen per subject, so you can mix them.
What are the fees for Pearson Edexcel subjects?
