Starcrest Academy

<p id="">Starcrest Academy is a CambriLearn affiliate partner based in Stilfontein, North West, South Africa. It operates as a hybrid learning centre supporting learners aged 6 to 18 who follow the CambriLearn curriculum, with options across the CAPS and British curricula. Teaching is delivered in small groups of no more than 15 learners, allowing for individualised support and close collaboration with families. While not a specialised remedial centre, Starcrest welcomes learners who benefit from additional academic guidance and a more personalised environment, and it supports gifted and talented learners by allowing them to progress at a pace that suits them.</p>
<p id="">The centre covers a broad subject range, including Mathematics, the sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Natural Sciences), English, Afrikaans and French, the commerce subjects (Accounting, Business Studies, Economics and Economic Management Sciences), the humanities (Geography and History), and technology-focused subjects such as Coding, Robotics, Junior Artificial Intelligence and Computer Applications Technology, alongside Creative Arts, Life Skills, Tourism and early literacy. Beyond academics, Starcrest offers study skills and exam preparation, homework support, public speaking and leadership development, educational outings, sports and recreation, holiday programmes, and subject selection, career exploration and tertiary study guidance for senior learners. The hybrid model is well suited to learners balancing their studies with competitive sport, music, performing arts or other commitments.</p>
<p id="">Starcrest provides a secure, supervised environment throughout the school day, with dedicated learning and study spaces, small-group learning areas, high-speed Wi-Fi and access to online learning platforms, and educational resources for independent reading and study. On-site facilities include outdoor recreational and play areas, sports and fitness spaces, comfortable parent consultation rooms, and dedicated spaces for creative activities, presentations and special events, along with safe drop-off and collection procedures. The centre is open Tuesday to Thursday from 07:00 to 17:00 and Friday from 07:00 to 14:00, and is closed on Mondays and over the weekend.</p>
