Our comprehensive Foundation I Computers course, designed to deepen your digital skills and information to expand your ICT capability. This course will guide you to strengthen key skills and knowledge of basic routines required to become more competent at creating and editing written work and handling images, creating presentations, basic spreadsheet management, as well as handling data.
ICT capability is all about being able to use technology in a smart and confident way. It means knowing how to use things like computers, tablets, and the internet in everyday life and in your learning.
ICT capability is about:
• Finding good, reliable information online (and spotting what is not).
• Creating and sharing your own work, like presentations, videos, or documents.
• Figuring out how to solve small tech problems when they come up.
• Staying safe, kind, and respectful when you are online.
In short, ICT capability is about using technology not just to get stuff done, but to do it safely, responsibly, and creatively - whether you are learning, chatting, or working with others.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
• Create documents for a purpose using word processing skills.
• Create multimedia presentations using a combination of text, images, sound, and navigation tools.
• Design and create a spreadsheet for a purpose using spreadsheet skills
• Design, create and develop a database for specific purpose using database skills.
