CambriOS is the connected structure behind CambriLearn's online school. It brings together four connected school experiences: CambriCampus, CambriPathways, CambriCommunity and CambriCommand. There is no separate school, app or subscription. If your child is enrolled with CambriLearn, they are already inside it.
Nothing in it is new. Each of the four has been running for years, some of them for most of the school's twenty. The launch on 3 August 2026 gives them names and makes the joins between them visible.
Why CambriOS exists
You never experience a school as a set of departments. You experience one week, then the next one, and the questions you ask are all tangled together.
Does my child know where to be and what to do? Can they get help when they are stuck? Will this qualification take them where they want to go? Will they have friends? Can I see how they are doing?
Those questions connect, so the answers have to as well. CambriOS is the name for how CambriLearn connects them.
Twenty years of teaching online, more than 80,000 students taught across 100+ countries, and the lesson from all of it is this: a school that runs from anywhere needs more structure than one running from a building, not less. CambriCampus: what will learning actually look like?
CambriCampus is the school your child logs in to through the week. Students attend one 45-minute live lesson per subject per week with a qualified specialist teacher, then work through coursework set out in a weekly outline. Most spend three to five hours a day on schoolwork. Every live lesson is recorded.
Who teaches those lessons matters more than any feature in a prospectus. Every CambriLearn teacher holds a recognised teaching degree, a BSc, BEd, PGCE, BA or MA, is registered with the South African Council for Educators, and has an average of more than eight years in a classroom. Students submit work, get it marked, and receive feedback from the person who taught them. On the Premium package they also get weekly question-and-answer sessions and direct chat access to their teacher.
A six-year-old, an International GCSE candidate and a Grade 12 student should never be squeezed into the same timetable or handed the same amount of independence. CambriCampus keeps the parts of conventional school that protect progress, a register, a timetable, somebody who notices an absence, and drops the parts that were only ever rigid out of habit.

CambriPathways: where can this education lead?
A choice of curriculum only means something once you know where each one ends. CambriPathways connects your child's current stage to the qualification they are working towards. CambriLearn offers five internationally accredited curricula across six pathways, and CAPS and KABV are the same South African national curriculum taught in English and in Afrikaans, which is why five curricula produce six routes.
That breadth gives you a real choice. A family relocating between countries needs a route that travels. A South African family may want CAPS, KABV or IEB. A swimmer chasing a scholarship in the United States needs an American diploma and NCAA-approved courses.
The value sits in the switching. A child who starts on CAPS in Grade 8 and decides at fifteen that they want to study in the United Kingdom changes pathway rather than schools. CambriCommunity: what about friends?
Socialisation is the question no online school should be allowed to dodge. CambriCommunity is the answer to it: interest-based clubs, online events, regional in-person meetups and student-led groups, with more than 1,500 students taking part.
Children need more than classmates appearing in small rectangles during a lesson. They need somewhere conversation can wander past the work, where a shared obsession with reptiles or chess or a particular game turns into a friendship, and where a family feels part of something larger than a login. A physical school hands children the second thing and leaves the first to whoever happens to sit nearby.
Learning is online. The relationships are real.
Community sits inside the school here rather than bolted on afterwards, which is why it carries a name of its own and why bullying carries a zero-tolerance response that no corridor can enforce.
CambriCommand: how will I know it is working?
CambriCommand is the parent view. Progress, marks and school activity appear in one place as the week unfolds, which puts the important signals in front of you early enough to do something about them.
You should never have to pick between sitting in the dark and sitting beside your child through every lesson. Rather than reconstructing the week from unfinished worksheets and a shrug at the dinner table, you can start a conversation from what actually happened. A parent who can see a week taking shape offers help on the Wednesday. A parent waiting for a report ends up managing a crisis in November.
The four only matter if they work together
A pathway with no school week behind it is a plan on paper, and progress data with no teacher behind it is another dashboard. The point of CambriOS is the wiring between them.
Take a student training twice a day for national swimming qualifiers. Recorded lessons on their own will not get her a qualification. She needs a route that suits her goals, a school week that survives a training schedule, teachers and assessment that hold her accountable, a way to stay connected to people her own age, and a parent who can see whether the arrangement is holding. Four separate services will not manage that between them. One school can.
Or take a nine-year-old who needs a second and third pass at long division. Repeatable content helps. He also needs an adult who builds the routine, a teacher who answers on the day he gets stuck, a club where he is good at something, and a parent who spots the slip in momentum in week two rather than at the end of term.

Built to change as a child grows
CambriLearn teaches students from age 4 to 19, and those fifteen years cannot be treated as one long identical version of school. What a family needs shifts at every stage.
Ages 4 to 6. Clarity on routine, screen time, the adult's role, and how learning stays active rather than passive.
Ages 7 to 10. Firm foundations, a teacher who knows the child, marked feedback, and a visible rhythm to the week.
Ages 11 to 13. Growing independence, with obvious ways to ask for help and somewhere to belong.
Ages 14 to 16. Subject choices, assessment and workload start carrying consequences, and friendships matter more than they ever have.
Ages 17 to 19. The qualification route, the examination requirements and the next destination have to line up exactly.

What to ask when choosing an online school
Use these seven questions on any online school, including this one.
- What does an ordinary week actually look like? Push for specifics on live teaching, coursework, assessment, feedback and support. Vague answers here predict vague answers later.
- Who teaches and marks the work? Content is one thing and teaching is another.
- Where does the pathway end? Check the qualification, the accreditation or registration behind it, the examination route, and which universities accept it.
- How will my child build real relationships? Ask for named clubs, actual events and specific meetups.
- What will I be able to see? Progress information should help you support your child without turning you into the teacher.
- How does the experience change with age? A model built for a self-directed seventeen-year-old is wrong for a seven-year-old.
- What exactly is in the package? Live teaching, teacher access and reporting should be spelled out rather than implied.
Count the features a school can name and you learn very little. Ask how they connect and you learn what you need to know.
