For many expat families in Dubai, the decision between online schooling and a traditional private school can feel like a binary choice. Online learning offers affordability and access to international curricula, but some parents want their child in a physical setting with daily structure and direct human supervision. Traditional schools offer that structure, but at tuition fees that can exceed $30,000 per year for a single child.
CambriLearn's Hybrid Education Hub offers a third option. Students follow the same International British or US curriculum available through CambriLearn's online school, but they do so from a dedicated physical learning space in Al Barsha South, Dubai, supported by on-site facilitators, mentors, and qualified teachers.
The Hub is not a traditional school. There are no large classrooms with 25 to 30 students. Instead, students work through their CambriLearn course material in small groups with an in-person facilitator who provides daily guidance, keeps students on track, and ensures they are engaging with their lessons. Live lessons from subject specialist teachers are delivered through the CambriLearn platform, and the facilitator is there to help bridge any gaps between lessons.
This model works particularly well for students who need more structure than fully online learning provides but who also benefit from a calmer, more personalised environment than a large traditional school. The small group sizes mean that every student receives individual attention throughout the day.
The families who choose the Hub tend to fall into a few categories. Some are new to Dubai and want their child in a physical learning environment while still having access to an internationally recognised curriculum. Others have tried traditional private schools and found that the large class sizes or rigid schedules were not working for their child. Some parents work during the day and need a supervised educational setting that operates on a predictable Monday to Friday schedule.
The Hub is also a strong option for students with additional learning needs. The calm, inclusive environment and evidence-based child skills development programmes, delivered in partnership with Louise Dawson, focus on communication, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy alongside the academic curriculum.
Hybrid Hub students earn the same qualifications as CambriLearn's fully online students. The International British pathway leads to International GCSE, AS Level, and A Level examinations, sat at British Council centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The US pathway leads to a Cognia-accredited high school diploma that is recognised by universities across the Middle East, United States, United Kingdom, and globally. Students can also follow the Pearson Edexcel pathway for International GCSE and AS Level.
CambriLearn is accredited by Cognia and is an approved Pearson Edexcel centre. The US curriculum is also NCAA approved for student athletes.
Families in Dubai are choosing the Hybrid Hub for its combination of in-person structure and internationally recognised curricula.
"We tried two private schools in Dubai before finding CambriLearn's Hub. The small group size and daily facilitator support made all the difference for our son, who was struggling in large classrooms. His confidence and grades have both improved."
"I work full-time and needed a structured setting for my daughter during the day. The Hub gives her a proper school routine with real supervision, and she's following the same British curriculum she'd get at a top private school, at a fraction of the cost."
"The skills development component through Louise Dawson's programme was what sold us. It's not just academics. Our daughter is learning communication, self-advocacy, and emotional regulation alongside her A Level subjects."
The Hub serves a wide range of Dubai families. Here are some of the most common reasons parents choose the in-person option.
