We are delighted to introduce two fantastic clubs that will add a touch of excitement and enrichment to our school community! The High School Book and Movie Club

For our high school students, we have the captivating Book and Movie Club, helmed by the dedicated teacher, Ms. Kayla. This club offers a wonderful chance to explore the worlds of literature and cinema simultaneously. Key club details are as follows:

  • Aim: To foster a love for reading, critical thinking, and meaningful discussions.
  • Meeting Day: Every Friday
  • Meeting Time: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
  • Starting:  11 August 2023
  • Age Group: Students aged 13 to 18
  • Club Duration: 6-week intervals, focusing on one book per interval.
  • Registration: Students can register every 6 weeks through our Google Form here: https://forms.gle/swmeLkHZBLKSjkBA6

The Book and Movie Club will ignite students’ imaginations, encourage insightful conversations, and build lasting friendships.

During each 6-week interval, Ms. Kayla will carefully select three age-appropriate books that have also been adapted into film or series. Students will then have the exciting opportunity to vote on the book they want to explore as a group.

Through lively discussions, students will delve into the selected book, exploring its themes, characters, and literary techniques. After the literary journey, they will come together to enjoy the corresponding film or series adaptation, comparing and contrasting it with the original work.

Participation in our Culture Clubs is entirely optional and students need only join if they wish to do so.

We hope to see you at our next club gathering!
