Robotics 1B - Primary Stage 6

As a follow on from Robotics 1A, this course introduces children to more complex coding practices.

In this course, students will learn how to use more complex features on the micro:bit, whilst doing more intricate coding in Makecode. This course focuses on sensory data and pins, like temperature, direction, acceleration, and light levels.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this module students will be able to:

• use the various inputs that come with the micro:bit to collect data
• create basic games and understand the gaming blocks needed to make them work 
• use functions in coding and use the pins to build and control projects on the micro:bit

Requirements

• No previous knowledge is required.
• Access to BBC micro:bit is not mandatory but it is highly recommended for optimal learning outcomes 
• A device to connect to the internet
