Robotics 1A - Grade 7

In this course, students will learn how to use their micro:bit (a computer microprocessor used for prototyping and coding) to code using the Makecode block editor. Using the Makecode platform, they will investigate and build interactive projects and learn to understand the concepts and terminology used in Coding.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this module students will be able to:

• use Makecode and its simulator
• connect a micro:bit to a device (pc, tablet or phone) 
• flash code to a micro:bit
• understand the basics of the block library
• create programs and use them on a micro:bit
• continue to use a micro:bit whilst not connected to a device

The course fee includes the micro:bit which will be shipped as soon as payment is received.

Requirements

• No previous knowledge is required.
• A device to connect to the internet
